About

I'm a logical, left-brain person with a hard pull toward right-brain expression. I'm the one at a dinner table who wants to know where you're from, how you actually are, and where you're headed next.

When I'm not working, you'll find me making something. Photography's stayed with me longest. I'm especially drawn to portrait and fashion work. I love balancing the technical side — light and exposure — with the creative. And more than anything, I love the collaboration: working with someone to tell a story together, rather than just pointing a camera at them. My wife Hailey and I make music too — she sings, I produce, both self-taught — the same fusion of technical and creative, twelve notes combined into infinite possibility. Sewing's newer — cutting and constructing shirts by hand, the same instinct for precision in service of feel.

I loved development because I love a hard puzzle — the pleasure of finding an elegant, simple answer inside a complicated problem. I moved away from writing code because by the time work reached me, the expectations and the schedule were already locked in, and I wanted to be closer to where the problem actually gets identified. What I'm best at is listening closely, reading between the lines on what people mean rather than what they say, and distilling that into something clearer. Not writing the most code. Translating it.

I grew up a western kid in Colorado and Utah, camping, skiing, and hiking national parks. My wife Hailey and I moved to Savannah a few years ago and fell for it immediately: oak-lined streets, gaslight lamps, genuinely walkable. There's an ease striking up a conversation with a stranger that I haven't found anywhere else.

I care about beauty and craft — things built to work that happen to look good doing it. I believe life can be better than it is, that people can strive to be better, with a little whimsy alongside the ambition. And more than anything, I care about the people I'm working with, and the ones I'm solving problems for.
